Workforce Development Initiative

When our long-standing client, MCS, needed to develop the OpenTech Workforce initiative, they knew to give us a call. OpenTech coordinates between employers, education partners, and foundation resources to promote strong young candidates from under-represented communities directly into professional apprenticeships with companies such as DirecTV, Sony, & Farmers Insurance. This platform was meant for talented youth, and we knew we had to build a smart website that encouraged them to follow their passions. So from scratch we created the front end strategy all the way to back end development to complete a system that was attractive and efficient.

Larger Impact

This intensive year-long project included building the visual identity and accompanying assets, an employer-facing online experience, creating the candidate application process, and providing reports of traffic and usage. We also enabled easy reviewing and sorting of candidates helping to increase productivity for the managing team and improve placement accuracy. The pot of gold was getting to capture the success stories of the program, which helped the funding agency monitor the needs of the program.
